ALLEN HUANG, MD, DDS

Dr. Allen Huang is a board certified and fellowship trained oral & maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in jaw surgery and maxillofacial reconstruction. His unique background has allowed him to perform jaw surgery with an emphasis on  maximizing both esthetics and airway. He is one of only a handful of maxillofacial surgeons who has formal training in airway and sleep surgery. Currently, he serves as Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Los Angeles General Medical Center, one of the largest level 1 trauma centers and training hospitals. He lectures both nationally and internationally on his concept of Functionally Driven Esthetics and how to merge bite, breathing, and beauty together.

My Philosophy

My philosophy as a surgeon is embedded in a sincere commitment to patient-centered care and excellence.  I believe in approaching each patient with empathy, respect, and understanding, recognizing the unique journey they are undertaking, and as well as what they are willing to take.  Clear communication is most important at my practice, ensuring patients are well informed about their condition, treatment options, and what to expect before, during, and after surgery.  I prioritize collaborative decision-making, involving patients in every step of their care to tailor treatments that align with their goals and preferences. Upholding the highest standards of surgical excellence and safety, I continuously pursue ongoing education and stay abreast of the latest advancements in medical science that help me stay current with innovative techniques in jaw surgery.  Beyond the operating room, I prioritize comprehensive postoperative care and ongoing support to optimize recovery and long-term health. My ultimate goal is to empower patients with restored function, improved esthetics, and overall a renewed sense of confidence in their smile, breathing, and well-being.
